You pay for the firearm here and name a federally licensed (FFL) dealer in Maryland at checkout. We ship the gun to that dealer. You collect it there after completing ATF Form 4473 and passing the background check. We never ship a firearm to a home address.

No. The Handgun Qualification License (Public Safety Article § 5-117.1) applies to handguns. An ordinary rifle or shotgun is not a regulated firearm under § 5-101, so there is no state license to buy one and no state waiting period. See our Maryland gun law guide.

A Maryland handgun sale requires an HQL, a model on the state Handgun Roster, a State Police application filed by a Maryland regulated-firearms dealer and a seven-day wait. We cannot verify a roster entry or a license from a product listing, so we do not list handguns or frames. A Maryland regulated-firearms dealer can help you with that purchase.

Maryland bans the sale and transfer of listed assault long guns and feature-defined copycat weapons (Criminal Law Article §§ 4-301 to 4-303). Our catalog filter removes those, along with anything whose name does not tell us enough to be sure. Bolt, lever, pump and single-shot rifles, rimfires and field shotguns remain.

Only magazines whose listing states a capacity of 10 rounds or fewer. Criminal Law Article § 4-305 prohibits selling or transferring a detachable magazine over 10 rounds in Maryland. If a listing does not state the capacity, the item is not offered.

Yes. Maryland requires no license or permit to receive ammunition, so it ships by ground to your home address. Federal law requires you to be 18 for rifle and shotgun ammunition and 21 for handgun ammunition, and an adult signature may be required on delivery.

A valid government photo ID with your current address, your order number, and the dealer's transfer fee. Each dealer sets their own fee, so call before ordering to confirm they accept shipped transfers and ask the price. You must be 18 or older to buy a long gun from a dealer.

A flat $29.99 per order, free over $999. Most orders ship within 1 to 3 business days of payment and, for firearms, once we have your dealer's license on file. Some items come from partner distributors and take 1 to 3 weeks. We email you if so, and refund in full anything we cannot ship within 30 days.

By credit or debit card on our secure card checkout. Price and availability are checked again when you place the order, so if anything changed you see it before you pay.

Before it has been transferred to you, yes. Contact us and tell your dealer not to complete the transfer. Once a firearm has been transferred it cannot be returned for a refund, but the manufacturer's warranty applies. See the returns policy.
